Clint explains that his background wasn’t in beer, he’s been a teacher for a large majority of his life, but the teaching profession now, just isn’t what it used to be, there are pressures from external factors that detract from the teaching he wanted a change, and that change came in the form of being his own boss and running his own beer shop.

Welcome to another episode of This is Rammy, your weekly podcast where I talk about what’s going on around Ramsbottom, some would say it’s a bit like What’s on in Rammy but without the arguments.

Well we’ve gone “all in” on the potty training for our son since we started last week, he’s done better than I expected. We’ve completely stopped putting him in nappies during the day now and he is learning to tell us when he needs the toilet so that’s the biggest progress in our house.

We had some lovely weather on Good Friday with lots of people heading up Holcombe Hill for the yearly egg rolling event, followed by some blustery and chilly weather on Saturday. This week I got to relive some childhood memories and got down to Arcade Club in Bury, the biggest arcade in Europe and 4th largest in the world. Did you know we had this right on our doorstep?

Andy and his team do an amazing job at keeping these old machines running, he mentioned that some of them were only ever designed to run for two years, and here they are decades later, still going strong.

One thing that shocked me about Arcade Club, was the price. In this episode you’ll actually hear an audible gasp when I realise just how long you get for the price of entry.
