Welcome to another episode of This is Rammy, your weekly source for all things Ramsbottom related. Happy Easter! All going well this was released at 10am on Sunday as usual, however with the clocks doing that stupid thing they still do it could have been 9am.
We had some lovely weather on Good Friday with lots of people heading up Holcombe Hill for the yearly egg rolling event, followed by some blustery and chilly weather on Saturday. If you’ve been up nice and early for the church service on Holcombe Hill led by Andy too, then thanks for joining me, however I expect you’ve probably slept in, what with the clocks changing.
This weekend me and my wife have been potty training our son, we can now really appreciate and understand why people sigh when they talk about potty training.
As well as this I met up with Mel Southworth who I interviewed for the podcast last year, one interview was even recorded whilst Mel was on Everest.
Mel got caught up in the earthquakes that happened last year too and she spent quite a bit of time helping clean up the mess.

Ramsbottom United News:
Ramsbottom were home to Marine on Tuesday 22nd March which resulted in a hard fought point after Ramsbottom United went one nil up on 16 minutes only for that lead to be cancelled out a mere 4 minutes later with what would be the last goal of the game.
The match this weekend took place at Sutton Coldfield and after 82 minutes it was looking like another draw until Cameron Horner scored in the 83rd minute surely sealing the win. That’s what you would have though, but in the 4th minute of added time, Sutton Coldfield managed to score the equaliser denying us our first win since January.
Our next match is Salford City at home tomorrow the 28th of March. This is always an interesting fixture given the history between the two clubs, hopefully off the back of that near win we’ll be able to pull something out of the bag.
