I finally got time to interview Stuart Rothwell of The Vineyard on Silver Street in Ramsbottom. Stuart was actually the first interview outside of the “studio” and I thoroughly enjoyed a change of scenery, so much so my next interview just a few days later was in Nutall Park.
With just a couple of weeks until the Ramsbottom Jigsaw Festival (10th to 12th of September) I thought we could have a look at some of the history behind jigsaws and some fun facts too.
This week on This is Rammy I got away from the office and headed to the park for the flower sale that took place last Sunday (August 16th).
Edit: this shop has since became the Little Craft Café: https://www.facebook.com/Littlecraftcafe/
One of the few places to get your computer fixed in Ramsbottom, ID Computer Services on Bolton Road West near The Masons pub has put up a sign in the window stating that that they are going mobile.
I don’t know exactly if this means that the shop is closing down though, although I had heard on the grapevine that they were indeed shutting up shop.
Does anyone know any different? Is one of the last independent places in Ramsbottom to pick-up a USB Memory stick closing? (Incidentally, if you do want a USB Memory stick, you can get them in Ramsbottom Library).
One other thing I did learn from this sign though is that the I in ID should be lower case. So, either the shop window sign is wrong, or this new sign is, or they’ve recently changed it?
Good deal with the collection and return though, fuel isn’t cheap.
This week on This is Rammy we interview Louise Fletcher who I met on local networking event, “Friday Night Networking”.
Louise’s family has a business supplying wholesale foods down in Ramsbottom and she’s a regular in the town’s pubs and restaurants including The Eagle and Child for the monthly networking event. [Read more…] about Louise Fletcher of Ice Elements – Episode 25
