Starting from just an idea, some late nights and a love for crafting, Helen grew her business Fair Trade Emporium from a passion, into something she loves to get out of bed early for each Saturday morning.
With the initial plan being that Fair Trade Emporium would be a shop, Helen was soon swayed by the comparatively low rental costs of a market stall, and after trying this for a few weeks, was hooked.

This week on This Is Rammy we have a conversation with Pam Smart from Incredible Edible Ramsbottom.
Incredible Edible started life around 5 years ago when a founder of the movement came to provide a talk to the community, from that day forth, Incredible Edible Ramsbottom was born and the rest is history.
Incredible Edible are a Guerrilla group, but don’t worry, they’re not the scary kind. They are activists though, by planting trees and growing plants on patches of land which are either disused, or have been offered as a space where the group can help to spread their green fingers.
All of the edible plants are free for people to use, they are for the public, however, please just take what you need so that there is enough for everyone.

This week on This is Rammy we spoke to Gwenda from Friends of Nuttall Park and ask her what FONP is all about, what got her involved with it and why you should think about becoming involved too.
Having lived in Ramsbottom for nearly 40 years, Gwenda has seen many comings and goings around our small town of Ramsbottom and has a few of her own ideas when it comes to what Ramsbottom should do with it’s local businesses.
Friends of Nuttall Park do not charge for any of their events that they organise, but donations are very much appreciated and can be given on the day of the events, just look for someone with a bucket collecting money. All donations go towards the park to help keep it looking great.
