Roadworks expected to cause misery for a further week

Roadworks on Manchester Road in Ramsbottom are expected to be in place until the 10th of May causing many delays and frustration for drivers especially at rush hour.

Road Works

The frequently repaired stretch of road is currently being worked on by Electricity North West who have yet to comment on the cause of the repairs but it’s likely to be damaged cables although they have recently been replacing cables in a large upgrade project.

The two way traffic lights have caused delays adding around 10-15 minutes to the average journey time.

Manchester Road has frequently been subjected to roadworks and being one of the major roads out of Ramsbottom to the motorway it always causes delays when this happens.

I would recommend where possible leaving extra time when travelling to and from Ramsbottom whilst these road works are in place.

When I find out more information from Electricity North West I’ll update this post.
