This week’s interview with Stephen was one of the most fascinating I’ve had yet. If you’ve seen the Co-Op building from the outside, you’ll understand that it’s clearly a spectacular building, but it’s the inside that really holds your breath.
It’s only human to have a leaning towards someone who shares your views, and when you’ve been staring at a building week in, week out wondering what history it holds, it’s great to speak to someone who not only holds that same viewpoint, but has also invested enough time into the research of the building to find out exactly what it used to be.
Basically, stopping me wondering what the heck happened in this place.
Here’s some of the photos of the building that Stephen sent me though, so much history still there, it’s astounding.
If you think that you can help Stephen with bringing back the glamour to a building which not only is a fantastic thing to have in Ramsbottom, but is of great importance to England, get in touch with him on his email address here: [email protected]
I had issues playing this video, but hopefully you’re more successful, this is a video taken from inside the building:
If anyone know’s who Ramsbottom United are due to play in the cup match since beating Warrington, let me know. I suspect it’s Warrington again, as usually when we win a match, we play them again, but when we lose, that’s it, we’re out.
