When Lysha Holmes moved to Ramsbottom 11 years ago, not only did she not know that she was pregnant with her first child Issy, but that just one year later she would create her own very successful business.
Qui Recruitment has been established since 2005 and has recently celebrated its 10 year anniversary.
When Lysha first started Qui from her kitchen on Albert Street after recently becoming a Mum, she quickly realised that she wanted to spend more time with her young family.
Life in Ramsbottom has had it’s ups and downs for Lysha, be it crashing their car on Rostron Road in heavy snow, navigating her business through the recession or becoming a Mum, Lysha has done it all right here in Ramsbottom.
I hope you enjoyed the interview this week with Lysha Holmes, in spite of it being Qui Recruitments 10 year anniversary, it’s great to speak to someone who has setup their own successful business starting from Ramsbottom.
Also on this week I talked about Street Orienteering. I’d never heard of Street Orienteering before, but their facebook group says: “Street Orienteering involves navigating around streets using a map to location controls like lampposts etc worth varying points. The idea is to score as many points as possible in a given time. You need a headtorch, pencil and hi-vis top.”

Laura Chepner got in touch since her episode went live and said: “Cheers Lee, you work wonders”
