After the slightly different release schedule for Episode 10 of This is Rammy, we’re back to our regular schedule, every Sunday at 10am.

This weeks episode of This is Rammy, I speak to Gwenda Newton of Friends of Nuttall Park again to ask her what they have going on in May in the biggest park in Ramsbottom.

Friends of Nuttall park are the unpaid maintenance people of Nuttall Park. It’s all voluntary and every penny made on events, be it from ticket prices or donations all goes back into the park. Without them, the park wouldn’t be as great as it is.

The sad fact is that cuts have been introduced all over the country in public services and one of those was cutting back on Park Rangers. Friends of Nuttall Park are providing a vital service and taking time out of their lives to keep Nuttall Park running.

If you can spare a moment, please take a look at their website and see if you can attend any of their events, or even better, offer to volunteer. As Gwenda says, the more volunteers they have, the easier the work will be.
