Let’s be honest, we’ve all been caught short from time to time and if, like me you’ve got a young family then you’ve got more than just your own bladder to consider.
Unfortunately, time’s have changed. Where you’d traditionally see several public toilets in the past; maintenance, cuts and vandalism have resulted in them turning from somewhere “to go” to somewhere that’s gone.
The question is, where in Ramsbottom can you find a toilet in your time of need?
Hopefully this list will give you an idea. Do keep in mind though that some of these will be for customers so please don’t abuse their generosity.
Spending a pound before spending a penny would certainly be appreciated.
1) Nuttall Park
Near the playground and attached to The Base you’ll find two toilets. These are unlocked and maintained by the volunteers of Friends of Nuttall Park. Donations in The Ranger Base are always welcome.
2) Morrisons
These toilets are located after the tills, between the front door and the post office. These are my “go to” when my son is desperate but we do shop here regularly.
There is also baby change facilities in the disabled toilet.
3) Ramsbottom Library
As you enter, to the right of the front door is a toilet on ground floor. There are also baby change facilities. Whilst you’re there take a look at the great gifts on sale many made by local artists.
4) Ramsbottom Train Station
These are accessible from the platform and as such, you might need a platform ticket. However the small cost of a platform ticket could be a lifesaver in a toilet emergency. I’m sure the staff will let you nip past and pay/donate after.
5) Ramsbottom Health Centre
Situated on the corner of Central Street and Carr Street these toilets can be located just through the doors. Keep in mind Ramsbottom Health Centre opening hours as this is closed at the weekend.
Remember, all these toilets are provided as good will; so keeping them in at least the condition you found them will be appreciated.
Also if you’re a business and would like to list your toilet, let me know under what condition, i.e customers only.

Nut tall park are never open I’m bringing a walk here 4th June and I have checked a few times ,if the radar key one would be open it would help with the over 60s
Ramsbottom station is looked after by volunteers. They never volunteered to clean toilets, especially for a public that don’t always leave them as they should.
So the station toilets are only for customers.
