Now in it’s 8th year, I thought I’d do a round up of what I thought were some of the five six best things from this years Ramsbottom Chocolate Festival.

Starting off with the first non-chocolate in my list is this Coffee fudge “man slice” (his words, not mine) from The Ultimate Fudge Outlet is smooth and sweet, just as fudge should be.

Next up we have some absolutely breathtaking handmade marshmallows from The Magnificent Marshmallow Company, there were lots of flavours to choose from including Strawberry and Banana, but this flavour stood out to me. They even threw in a discount for ordering more online.[/nextpage]

One of the popular collections here, they had almost all sold out when I got there. A box of 5 Lauden chocolates, these are Passion Fruit, Salted Caramel, Fresh Mint, Raspberry and Mediterranean Orange. These scream quality, on the more expensive side, for example these are £5.

Rocky Road Muffin, sorry GIANT Rocky Road Muffin by Homemade Delicious Cookies (or maybe that’s a statement not a company name?). Seriously this is as big as my fist, but smaller than my head.

Raspberry Pavlova Pop Shots by Daniel’s Delights. Once you accept that you’re going to lose a few of the meringue pieces, you’ll appreciate the tangy and smooth combination. Very nicely done.

I’ve saved the best till last. These were easily the most amazing brownies I’ve EVER eaten, and I’ve eaten many.
These were from Brown and Blond. Double chocolate and fudge in the background.
