In this day and age if you don’t have an app, you’re not worth considering. This will be why we’ve seen that Phlok comes to Ramsbottom.

Well, Ramsbottom now has an app. What I mean is that Phlok, a popular cross platform application that aims to get people shopping locally has launched in Ramsbottom.

Phloks developers states on their website:

” Local businesses have to battle large shopping centres, expensive rent and the Internet – they get it tough.

Phlok helps you help them. By shopping local you support your local town, keeping it a vibrant and fun place to go.”

This is perfect for Ramsbottom where we have a tight knit community of shoppers and retailers.

Phlok has two main functions, a points system and a friends system. You simply install the app (links at the bottom) and if you don’t already have an account choose your method of sign up:

Once signed up and logged you can search your contacts, connect with Facebook etc and fins your friends.

Then signed in you are walked through the setup. Essentially, visit a shop, scan a QR code, checkin and earn points.

Simple. You get rewards and you help maintain the local Ramsbottom community and economy.

So, what are you waiting for? Install the apps below and sign up and start Phlok-ing to Ramsbottom.
