Dangerous Hole on Cross Street Pavement

Cross Street Sunken Pavement Hole

Ramsbottom is no stranger to pot holes, but if you’re planning on a night out in The Brewery you might want to avoid wandering home via Cross Street, unless you want to risk a broken ankle!

Cross Street Sunken Pavement

The reason for that is because this blooming great hole has appeared, which looks like it’s been caused by erosion of the foundations of the pavement underneath.

I’ve reported this to Bury Council and after speaking to Joanne at the council I’ve sent over some photos so hopefully it won’t be too long until it’s resolved, but for now, eyes open when walking round that area as I almost fell in it.

Ramsbottom is no stranger to holes like this, recently we had that big sink hole on Tanners that caused lots of disruption to traffic. Hopefully as this one is on the pavement the road can remain open.
