Today, Ramsbottom was back on the radio again (I’ve mentioned this before on the podcast).
This time, we were visited by BBC Radio 1 presenter Jordan North. “Butt” why were they visiting Ramsbottom of all towns on a Thursday morning? Well, it’s because we have BOTTOM in our name.
Jordan had just come from Nob End in Bolton to visit Ramsbottom to collect jokes for their Book of LOL. This is a collection of jokes that will be told in the upcoming 24 hour LOL-A-THON for Red Nose Day 2019 with Scott Mills and Chris Stark.
I popped down and provided a joke, not a great joke, but it was a joke. If they are really going to be reading them over 24 hours, they need all the jokes they can get.
As well as my own submission there were submissions from other locals including popular delivery driver (and ex-Burnley bouncer) Ashley Moore.
